The KleenPlate continuous hickey removal system is designed to be able to be installed on most corrugated flexographic printing machines. KleenPlate traverses the plate image area and is automatically synchronized with the press speed to give a selected number of wipes, removing a fine film of ink from the plate surface directly after the sheet has been printed. 'Kiss Impression' contact and zero fluid injection makes all this possible without compromise to your print reproduction or plate surface, whether solid or fine screen. Triple action modes include Continuous wipe, Spot & Pressure Spot Clean, for isolated or persistent hickeys, as well as Multi-Zone image cleaning.
KleenPlate doesn't use liquids or chemicals. Instead, the system uses inexpensive, lint free KleenWipe™ cloth rolls to gently wipe the images surface of the plate to remove hickeys (paper dust and other impurities) that can have a negative effect on print quality.
The KleenPlate touch screen operator interface provides full control over the system's operation making it convenient and easy to set-up, monitor and adjust while running.
Operating modes include
- Continuous, wipes the entire width of the cylinder
- Spot Hickey Removal, which allows the operator to interrupt the programmed cycle to remove isolated hickeys from a specific area
- Spot Pressure, which allows the operator to apply additional pressure to remove persistent isolated hickeys
- Up to four individual "Wipe Zones" per cylinder which allow the head to skip non-image areas for maximum efficiency
